Frederick William Sparkes was born in 1913, in Botesdale?, (Hartismere Q4-1913 4A:1854) son of John Frederick and Amelia Venetta SPARKE (née THOMPSON) (Hartismere Q2-1909 4A:1409)

It has not been established which ship Frederick was on during the evacuation from Dunkirk, obviously one of the many sunk that day.

Frederick Sparke is commemorated on the Dunkirk memorial, column 15
